Hi, I’m Liat
I know trauma and stress —both big and small—and how deeply they echo in the body. From daily pressure to major events, we acknowledge, re-connect, and make space for aliveness.
After years studying the body–mind connection, I began an MA in Mental Health Counseling. I also hold a PhD and postdoctoral research in nature–human relationships and Horticultural Therapy, and I founded Tamim Teas, the nation’s first mushroom tea company.
As a licensed psilocybin facilitator, I offer psychedelic preparation and integration support. I also lead grief and trauma support groups, teach polyvagal-informed yoga, and offer individual and group sessions in Trauma & Tension Releasing Exercises (TRE).
As a mother of two, including a child with autism, I trained in the Greenspan DIR/Floortime Method to help parents regulate their nervous system and deepen connection with their children.
My work is guided by a deep respect for the fluidity of the human experience and our shared journey toward wholeness.
Classes in Mycology & Functional Uses
My work with mushrooms extends beyond the clinical space. I offer workshops and trainings on mycology, cultivation, cultural uses. Grounded in my PhD research, professional experience in the mushroom industry, and work with Indigenous communities, these classes serve practitioners, community groups, and people seeking a deeper understanding of fungi as medicine, ecology, and relationship.
Workshops include:
Introduction to mycology and fungal ecology
Mushroom cultivation trainings and cultural underpinnings
Functional and adaptogenic mushrooms
Ethical considerations in psychedelic work
Psychedelic Facilitation & Integration
Psychedelic experiences can be powerful catalysts for healing — but meaningful change happens through thoughtful preparation and integration. My approach bridges somatic therapy, research, clinical training and grounded traditions. We attend to insight and how the body processes and stores transformational experiences.
As a licensed psilocybin facilitator, I provide:
Psychedelic preparation sessions
Integration support after journeys
Trauma-informed, ethical facilitation
Consultation for practitioners
Support Groups: Grief & Integration
There is something powerful about gathering in community — being witnessed in your experience while also holding space for others. I facilitate in-person support groups in Boulder and Denver, as well as national online groups for psychedelic practitioners and for individuals navigating trauma and grief. I combine somatic tools, guided reflection, and relational safety for transformative spaces.
My groups focus on:
Psychedelic integration
Grief and loss support
Trauma recovery and nervous system regulation
Community-based healing
Trauma & Stress Recovery
Trauma is not just what happened — it’s what the body continues to hold. Even long after an event has passed, the nervous system can remain in patterns of protection, tension, or overwhelm that shape how we feel, relate, and move through the world.
I offer trauma-informed, somatic therapy that integrates:
TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises)
Polyvagal-informed yoga and nervous system regulation
Body-based stress recovery
Relational, depth-oriented counseling
